The Lamborghini Gallardo debuted in 2003, but its story begins in the late 90s, when Lamborghini, under the new leadership of Audi, was looking to broaden its portfolio and become more accessible to a wider audience. The objective was clear: to create a vehicle that delivered the essence of Lamborghini—extreme performance, innovative design and Italian luxury—in a smaller, more nimble package than the then flagship Lamborghini Murcielago.
He named it “Gallardo“, which comes from an ancient breed of fighting bulls, thus maintaining Lamborghini’s tradition of naming its cars after famous bulls.
LAMBORGHINI Gallardo [2003]
In 2003, the Lamborghini Gallardo was officially launched and became one of the brand’s most iconic models. The exterior design of the Gallardo was a symbiosis between tradition and modernity. Initially, Italdesign’s Fabrizio Giugiaro laid the foundations for the styling, and Luc Donckerwolke brought the final vision.
The sharp headlights and low silhouette along with the fluid intersection of curves and sharp edges made the Gallardo immediately stand out as a true Lamborghini.
With a powerful 90-degree 5.0 L V10 engine that generates a maximum power of 500 HP and 510 Nm of torque, it reaches 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

In 2005, Lamborghini made some improvements to the Gallardo Coupe. It added an adjustable exhaust system for reduced noise in the city, an optimized suspension, a new steering mechanism and an increase in engine power by 20 hp, which reached 100 km/h in just 4 seconds.
