Cadillac Escalade I 1999-2002
The Cadillac Escalade was designed by General Motors and went into production just ten months after approval in Arlington, Texas. The Escalade easily became a symbol on the American car market, being even an official car for the White House.

The first generation Cadillac Escalade came in 1999, and it was almost a copy of the GMC Yukon, with large, square headlights, a large grille with chrome elements and an imposing silhouette. The same aspects are also present inside, a large, straight dashboard with many buttons. Under the hood, the Escalade used a 255 hp 5.7 L Vortec 5700 V8 engine.

The second generation featured a completely new face, making it different from other cars on the market. It came with large, angular, typical Cadillac headlights, with a large and imposing front bumper.
Inside, the Escalade came standard with 7 seats, leather upholstery and a rather cluttered instrument cluster.

Also, with the second generation, the Escalade came in both the ESV version and the EXT version, a pick-up. In terms of powertrains, all-wheel drive versions came with a 6.0-liter Vortec V8 engine, and other models had a 5.3-liter V8 engine.
Cadillac Escalade III 2007-2014
With the success of the second generation, Cadillac did not stop and launched in 2007 the third generation of Escalade. It came on a new platform and with an improved exterior design, much more current.
The interior received the biggest changes, where leather, wood and soft plastic offered a premium look. Also, the dashboard design has been simplified, with a navigation screen introduced. At the same time, the new Escalade offered even more power, being equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 with 345 horsepower.

A hybrid version was introduced in 2008, equipped with a 6.0-liter V8, augmented by a pair of 60 kW motors powered by a nickel-metal hydride battery.
And yet, according to the 2007-2008 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, Escalade models had the highest fatality rate in their class.
Cadillac Escalade IV 2014-2020
The fourth generation Escalade was highly anticipated in the USA. It was launched in 2014 and was full of luxury and technology. The imposing appearance was amplified by the headlights aligned towards the hood, the large front grill and the contour lines.
However, the piece of resistance was the interior, where more premium materials and advanced technologies were used. The infotainment unit was larger, with a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
Under the hood, the Escalade was equipped with a 6.2-liter V8, available with 2WD or 4WD.

Cadillac Escalade 2020
The 2020 Cadillac Escalade perfectly highlights the evolution of this American luxury SUV. The exterior has been completely changed, now having a large, black grille with chrome elements, horizontal headlights and vertical fog lights. We also find chrome elements on the side, thus better contouring the imposing silhouette.

The interior is a true evolution, with a 38-inch curved screen and two independent 12.6-inch touch screens in the back, equipped with navigation, streaming or gaming functions.
Cadillac Escalade V 2022-Present
The 2022 Escalade V is the ultimate expression of design, performance and technology from Cadillac. In terms of design, Cadillac keeps approximately the same design language as that of the previous model. This time, however, he replaced the chrome elements with black ones.
The changes are also minimal inside, the combination of colors giving it a much more luxurious look.

Under the hood, the Escalade is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower. There is also a 3.0 L Duramax turbo diesel version with 277 horsepower, but also a supercharged version, which develops 682 horsepower.
