Peugeot 308 I 2007-2010
The first PEUGEOT 308 was sold in versions with 3 doors, 5 doors, SW station wagon and a Coupé Cabriolet CC. The 308 was built on the same platform as its predecessor, but came with a new Peugeot-specific design language: from the characteristic “cat” headlights, the design of the radiator grille, trapezoidal fog lights and ending with an elegant bend in the belt line.
Inside, the 308 was quite spacious, the dashboard having predominantly circular elements, but also a folding navigation.

The Peugeot 308 is equipped with a wide range of engines, from 1.4 liters to 2.0 liters, but most of them are 1.6 liters, created in collaboration with the BMW Group.
In 2007, the 308 won the Goldene Lenkrad (Golden Steering Wheel) in Germany, ticking all 15 criteria to win the title of best compact family car.
Peugeot 308 I Facelift 2011-2013
In 2011, Peugeot launched the facelift version of the 308, which brought design changes to the front and back of the car.

Peugeot 308 II 2013-2017
The second generation of the 308 was launched in 2014 and was built on a new platform, EMP2, reducing the car’s weight by 140 kg. In terms of design, this 308 marked an evolution in terms of style, coming with sober and elegant lines. The wheel arches were more aggressive, the new grille was narrower, and higher trim levels offered LED lights.
Also, the 308 II came with a new passenger compartment, the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit, offering a compact steering wheel that reduces the range of movements. The interior has been completely changed, presenting an overall minimalist design. This time, Peugeot used elements with trapezoidal shapes, and the higher trim levels offer a touch screen.

The French from Peugeot offered a range of engines that includes 1.2-liter and 1.6-liter gasoline units, as well as 1.6- and 2.0-liter diesel units.
In 2014, the Peugeot 308 was awarded European Car of the Year, and was also voted Car of the Year by Auto Europa in Italy and Car of the Year in Switzerland.
Peugeot 308 II 2017-2021
The facelift version was launched in 2017, but what new could it come with, if the pre-facelift model was “Car of the Year”? New improvements include a new hood and front bumper design, scrolling indicators, a newly designed grille and LED headlights.
The interior generally keeps the same design style, but comes with a better infotainment system, with a touch screen between the air vents.

Under the hood, Peugeot has included a new 1.5HDi engine with 130 HP.
Peugeot 308 III 2021-Present
7 million units sold and 4 years later from the introduction of the last model, Peugeot launched the third generation 308.
In terms of design, the Peugeot 308 was inspired by models in the crossover segment. Thus, it received daytime running lights with the luminous LED signature in the form of lion’s fangs, the grille is much more imposing, and on the side, the simple and smooth flanks, specific to the brand’s identity, stand out. The rear accentuates aerodynamic performance with a distinctive long spoiler, while the roofline flows smoothly towards the rear.

We also have big changes inside, where the famous i-Cockpit integrates i-Connect Advanced, a more modern and intuitive infotainment system. The dashboard has been redesigned and incorporates the 10-inch touch screen of the multimedia system, which includes most of the controls, and some physical buttons have been kept at the bottom. The new model also comes with eight-color ambient lighting, inductive phone charging, a ten-speaker Focal audio system and electrically adjustable seats.
Four engines and two plug-in hybrid variants are available on this model: Hybrid 180 (150 HP petrol and 110 HP electric) and Hybrid 225 (180 HP electric and 110 HP electric). The two petrol engines are 3-cylinder, 1.2-liter, with powers of 110 HP and 130 HP. The only diesel is in 4 cylinders of 1.5 liters and 130 hp.
Peugeot e-308 2023-Present
For 2023, Peugeot has prepared an electric version, called the Peugeot e-308, available for both hatchback and estate versions.
The design of the e-308 is not very different from the previous model, the hood is longer and the lower part of the body has also been slightly modified to increase the efficiency of the model.
Also, the new 308 comes with a new driving mode, called Brake, in which the accelerator pedal acts as a brake when the driver takes his foot off the pedal. This helps to regenerate energy more efficiently while walking.
Under the hood, the E-308’s electric motor develops 156 horsepower. It is powered by a 54 kWh battery, which operates on a 400 volt system. Thus, the new Peugeot promises an autonomy of 400 kilometers.
