Skoda Fabia I 1999-2004
The first generation Skoda Fabia was introduced in 1999 and was available in sedan, hatchback and station wagon versions. The Fabia was built on the same platform as the Volkswagen Polo and was equipped with a wide range of engines, developed together with Volkswagen engineers.
The body of the car could be associated with an Octavia, but the distinctive elements such as the rectangular chrome grille with the emblem and the trapezoidal headlights, gave the Fabia a pleasant appearance. The interior is very similar to Volkswagen cars, with a straight board, with many rectangular shapes.

Under the hood, the Fabia came in several engine configurations, varying between 1.2 and 2.0 liters of petrol and between 1.4 and 1.9 liters of diesel, producing between 55 and 115 horsepower.
Skoda Fabia I Facelift 2004-2007
In 2004, Skoda launched the Fabia facelift, which came with slightly revised front and rear lights, the interior received a new steering wheel and improved equipment levels.
The first generation Skoda Fabia was a great success, being delivered in over 1.7 million units worldwide.
Skoda Fabia II 2007-2010
Starting with the second generation Fabia from 2007, Skoda gave up the sedan version. The new Fabia continued to follow the same rectangular design language as its predecessor, the novelty being the rounded shapes of the headlights and grille. Also, the car was bigger and offered more interior space, especially thanks to the C-pillar, which was very wide.
The interior has been improved, it has a higher position, with predominantly rounded shapes and a rather simple appearance.

The engine range was also simple, with 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6-litre petrol engines, and 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.9-litre turbo-diesels.

For the facelift model, Skoda has improved the exterior design, especially in the front area, where the bumper has a new shape, as well as the fog lights.
The range of engines has also been updated. The 1.2-litre TSI turbo petrol engines replaced the previous 1.4 and 1.6-litre MPI engines, and the diesels were upgraded to common rail and four-valve technology.
Skoda Fabia III 2014-2018
The third generation Fabia was launched in 2014, Skoda offering this time more technology and modern equipment. The chassis of the car was modified, becoming a little wider and lower, which led to more interior space and trunk.
Regarding the exterior design, the new Fabia returns to predominantly straight shapes instead of rounded ones. Also, in front, the grille no longer includes the Skoda emblem, and the headlights are linked to it. In spots, the taillights have been modified, with the same square appearance.
The interior is a radical change compared to the previous generation. In addition to the more generous space it offers, the interior of the Fabia III is particularly notable for its color touch screen with a 5 or 6.5-inch display, depending on the level of equipment. It was also equipped with the Mirror Link system, which allows viewing the content of the mobile phone on the central display, but also with the Front Assist safety system.

Thus, the Fabia III won the “Overall Winner” and “Best Small Car” categories of 2015 from “What Car?“.
Under the hood, Skoda included both diesel and gasoline engines. The petrol engine range includes 1.0 and 1.2-litre variants, and the diesel variant includes a newer 1.4-litre inline-three engine with two different power levels available.
Skoda Fabia III Facelift 2018-2021
In 2018, the facelift model for Fabia III was launched and included some design changes. At the front, the grille and headlights were redesigned, and at the back, the taillights were modified. Also, the lines on the car are much more accentuated and sharp. The interior has also been improved, especially in the area of the infotainment system.
Skoda also brought updates under the hood, where the diesel engines were eliminated, the range of engines being made up only of gasoline engines, 1.0 liters with different power levels.
Skoda Fabia IV 2021-Present
The fourth generation Fabia was introduced in 2021 and is the largest and most spacious FAbia to date. MQB-A0 is the new platform on which the new Fabia was built, the platform currently found on the Audi A1, Volkswagen Polo or SEAT Ibiza.
On the outside, Skoda continued to use sharp lines and angles and accentuated them more this time, giving it a dynamic and sporty look. The front grille is larger, and the headlights have been redesigned, being tilted more towards the hood. The rear received new, long taillights, which also extend to the trunk, and the writing “SKODA” perfectly completes the design.

The interior of the Fabia IV is completely changed, with round air vents, a digital instrument cluster and a 9.2-inch infotainment system, depending on the trim level.
Under the hood, Skoda has installed a range of 6 engines: 5 of them 1.0 liters, which develop a power between 65 HP and 110 HP, and a 1.5 liter engine with 150 HP.
