PORSCHE CAYENNE 2002-2007
With big financial problems, Porsche had to launch a new car, which would save the company. Therefore, in 2003, he launched the Porsche Cayenne, the first Porsche off-road, which meant a real upset for the fans of the 911 model. The new SUV shared the Volkswagen Touareg platform, but borrowed the specific design of Porsche cars in the front.
As I said, Porsche took inspiration from the 911 model to create a part of the Cayenne, adding similar elements, such as the headlights, the front bar and some elements in the interior. But the fact that it was big, had curved surfaces and a sloping tailgate, gave it its own personality, an aspect that made it the best-selling Porsche of all time until the end of its production.
Under the hood, the Cayenne came with few engine options. It started with a 250 horsepower 3.2-liter V6, and moved to a 350 horsepower 4.5-liter turbocharged V8, which made it the most powerful SUV on the market.
In 2005, Porsche added a 247-hp 3.2-liter narrow-angle V-6 that was available with a manual transmission.

Also in 2009, Porsche launched the Cayenne Turbo S.v. of 550 horsepower.

In the interior, Porsche borrowed some elements from the Panamera model. Regarding the engine, the Cayenne came with a 3.6 engine, being the only one in the range with natural aspiration.

In 2017, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche unveiled the next generation of Cayenne, for 2019. This time, the new Cayenne used a new platform, also used on the Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus and Audi Q7. In terms of exterior design, it was similar to the previous iteration, with the only noticeable changes coming in the form of an updated grille, LED lighting setup up front and an LED strip that runs the width of the car, but also two rectangular, wide and chrome-plated exhausts.
